Bahamas relief drive planned at Miromar Outlets in Estero this weekend

LEE COUNTY, Fla. - A Fort Myers-based relief group will be collecting emergency relief supplies this weekend to help those affected by Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas.

 

The event will be held Saturday, September 28 & Sunday, September 29 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Miromar Outlets off Corkscrew Road. The event will be located in the northwest parking lot adjacent to Interstate 75.

 

It's being hosted by Bahamas Relief Aid .

 

They will be accepting the following supplies:

 

Construction Materials:
· Plywood/Lumber
· Sheet Rock
· Roofing Materials (Shingles, Tar Paper, etc.)
· Nails
· Plastic Sheeting Rolls/Tarpaulin
· Chain Saws
Cleaning:
· Mops & Buckets
· Towels
· Gloves
· Wet Wipes
· Large Trash Bags
· Bleach
· Chlorine Tablets
· Disinfectant
Groceries:
· Water
· Canned Goods
· Meals Ready To Eat
· Non-Perishable Dry Goods
· Baby Food, Formula & Juice
